Result's That Make Your Opponent Second Guess Their Game

Does this sound familiar?

  • Notice that the quality of your game is great for the first hour, and then as you start to struggle physically, your performance drops lower and lower

  • Have a 4-6 week pre-season training block with a fitness coach in person, who doesn't deliver any programming year round. Leaving you getting weaker, less fit and more injury prone as the year progresses

  • Avoid doing strength work and conditioning to prevent fatigue for training and matches

  • Constantly dealing with niggling injuries every few weeks, which hold you back from performing at your best

  • Travelling from tournament to tournament, with different equipment, and no idea on what workouts to do

  • Not sure of what workouts to do, and when during the season

  • Fatiguing at the end of the year because either your fitness is shit, or your scheduling throughout the year was rubbish and now you're burnt out heading into the final months of the season.

Don't worry, I can help!

What I Do

Ongoing WhatsApp communication (VITAL)

For any remote Strength and conditioning to work, it is vital that communication on both sides is priority. Without this, you will not get the most out of the program, and I will not be able to deliver the best results

Fully Tailored 1:1 Daily

Programming

Completely tailored periodised program to help you reach your physical goals. Modified daily depending on travel fatigue, physical and mental readiness, training/match schedule and availability of equipment.

Injury Management + Advice

With my background as a physiotherapist, I can help provide rehabilitation and injury management strategies that will help address those niggles before they turn into any kind of serious injury, that keeps you off court for long periods.

Video Zoom Sessions (Optional)

Video zoom sessions are an optional add-on, which allow me to be present with you during the workout via video call. I will personally be providing live feedback on any technical adjustments required, and providing support and motivation during those tough sets

Easy To Use S+C App

No Excel spreadsheets. Your programs will be delivered via a simple easy to use, interactive S+C app.

On The Go Performance Testing

How are we supposed to know if what we are doing is working, without any baseline results. It is essential that we test every few months to monitor progress, and pin point areas that require extra work.

STILL NOT SURE?

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: What exactly is remote tennis strength and conditioning?

It’s customized training designed to improve power, speed, mobility, and injury prevention for tennis players — delivered remotely through guided workouts, video coaching, and ongoing support.

Question 2: Who are your programs for?

Junior athletes, College players, Competitive adult players and Professionals.

Question 3: Do I need prior training experience?

A sound idea of fundamental exercises is desirable, however, not 100% necessary. I can provide technical feedback on all exercises, if the videos attached to the program do not make sense.

Question 4: How does online training work?

You receive structured workouts through a training app/platform called ABC Trainerize, complete them on your schedule, and get support and guidance remotely.

Question 5: Do I need a gym?

If you are a travelling player, I understand that some tournaments may not provide gym accessibility. In this case we can still do plenty of bodyweight and banded work to maintain progress. In some cases this may happen for weeks on end. However, at your home base, it is desired that we have gym access so that we can program and progressively overload sufficiently to allow the body to get stronger/faster/powerful.

Question 6: How does payment work?

When you subscribe to the programming, you will be required to input your card details. Billing will be done on the same day every week automatically through the app. You don't have to worry about paying invoices.

Question 7: Is the program customised to me?

Yes. The program is completely customised to you and your goals, training equipment, tournament/match schedule. No cookie cutter programs being delivered to every man and their dog here.

Question 8: What do you mean by daily programming?

Basically, at the start of each week, I will make a rough plan of things I want us to be working on. As the week progresses, sessions will be adjusted (if necessary) depending on match/training schedule, physical/mental readiness, injury, travelling. fatigue etc. For example, I may have programmed only mobility on a match day. However, you have just won 6-1 6-1 in 55minutes. As the intensity/duration of your match was not high, it gives us a chance to do some sort of workout after.

Question 9: How often will I train?

The frequency of your training will depend on your goals. For pro's, depending on which stage of the season we are in, we will typically be working on something every single day - like daily mobility. Typically I try and get my athletes into the gym 2-3 x per week, and then will add other sessions looking at training change of direction/Agility, speed, conditioning, prevention and mobility work.

Question 10: What does periodised program mean?

A periodised program is a structured training plan that changes over time so you build the right qualities at the right stages of the season. Instead of doing the same workouts year-round, training is broken into phases that gradually progress your strength, power, fitness, and recovery.

Question 11: Will I review your technique of gym movements?

Yes. I can absolutely review and make technical adjustments to any movements you need further clarity on. I get clients to send through videos of the movement they are having issues with to my WhatsApp number. Here I will break down the movement, so you are 100% clear on what to do.

Question 12: How often will we communicate?

I communicate with almost all of my athletes on a daily/second daily basis. This is so I can get updates on scheduling, readiness to train, fatigue levels and other factors mentioned, to ensure I can provide an optimal program that delivers results.

Question 13: Do you do video sessions?

Yes - video sessions are an optional add-on. Typically we will run through gym sessions, where I will provide live feedback and motivation, or on-court session, where I will be running the athlete through a conditioning/agility/speed session.

Question 14: How long will we work together?

I do not set a time limit on how long I work with my athletes. I plan to work with all my athletes for the long term, where I can help them build their careers and be a part of their journey. If you are looking for short term help, I'm afraid I am not the right person for you. Having said that, you are not locked in for any period of time. As long as you provide me 2 weeks notice, then I can cease your membership.

Question 15: How long will it take me to notice results?

As you may have read in the testimonials/reviews, some clients notice changes within weeks. The main thing is that you are consistently doing what i program for you, working at the intensities that I set. If you do this, you will start to notice that you will get stronger and more powerful within a 6-12 week period. These physical results will directly translate onto the court.

Question 16: I'm already doing tennis training - do I really need strength and conditioning?

Yes — on-court training improves skills, but S&C builds the physical qualities behind them (speed, power, endurance, injury resilience). Most tennis injuries happen because of physical overload, not technique. S&C makes your tennis training work better — not replace it.

Question 17: I don't have time to do this each week

Sessions are designed to fit around school, work, and match schedules. Doing less but consistent is usually more effective than doing more.

Question 18: I'm worried about getting too bulky - will this strength training slow me down?

No — tennis conditioning focuses on speed, power, and movement efficiency, not bodybuilding. Players typically move faster, hit harder, feel lighter on court. Muscle size is not the goal — performance is.

Question 19: I've tried remote strength and conditioning programming before and eventually it didn't work out - what is different?

The vast majority of the players I am currently working with have done remote S+C with other trainers before as well. I look to build good connections with my clients, and maintain a very high level of communication to ensure that you get the most out of the programming. I pride myself on good communication. Read through my testimonials and you will see that my communication is a stand out feature.

Question 20: Can I do this if I am dealing with an injury?

100% you can. The program will be tailored directly to you and your injury. We will add on some exercises to rehabilitate the injury, and then work on making this site of injury more resilient then ever.

About Me

Hey, I'm Nathan!

I’m a physiotherapist and strength & conditioning coach based in Brisbane, Australia, specialising in tennis performance. I’ve spent the last 4 years travelling on tour and have worked with multiple top-level ATP and WTA athletes, including Max Purcell (2× Grand Slam winner), Jenson Brooksby (former world No. 33), and Varvara Lepchenko (former world No. 19). I continue to travel internationally as a physio and S&C coach on tour, implementing the same evidence-based programs and performance systems I now provide to players online. Today, I work remotely with professionally ranked athletes, U.S. college players, and driven juniors aiming to compete at the highest level—whether that’s turning pro or earning a Division I scholarship. My goal is simple: to help tennis players stay healthy, move better, and perform at their peak all year round.
